A few years ago I went to Colombia to give classes on entrepreneurship and leadership to teenagers of one of the most violent schools of the city. With them I learned that experiences are reflected in our actions. That not everyone has the opportunity to have good examples in life to be taken as a reference of right/wrong or good/bad. And that’s why I believe that it is important to stop judging and start listening. Because the beauty is everywhere waiting to be seen – those kids had incredible talents!- and finding those beauties is one of my biggest passions. I’ve spent time teaching English to Tibetan monks who travelled months in the cold of the Himalayas to scape from the Chinese repression. In a slum in Brazil people would tell me tales of their achievements and dreams. The family in Kashmir was proud of their honest job, even in times of war. In my eyes these people are heroes. And my goal is to make every person aware that they are heroes as well. To guide, mentor and teach them. To show that they can be heroes as well whatever their background.
