Future Workforce
with Microsoft
Challenge:
Microsoft’s Corporate Real Estate Innovation team needed to look beyond current workplace trends and understand how emerging technologies, social behaviors, and generational expectations could reshape the employee experience and Microsoft campuses in the future.
Approach:
International Connector designed a highly immersive, interactive, and gamified environment. The process surfaced early signals, tensions, and emerging expectations that would be difficult to identify through conventional surveys or focus groups. It enabled Microsoft to observe not only what young people anticipated, but also identify participant behaviors for future planning.
Outcome:
The findings gave Microsoft a youth-informed foresight lens for future workplace and campus planning. The research influenced the CRE Innovation team’s project development, was presented to other Microsoft departments, and led to further consulting and co-design work with teams exploring future products and experiences.
