From a broken down kombie van in France, to bussing from Ushuaia, Argentina to Mexico City, to meeting her Australian husband at a hostel in Venice, Marti is what we call a “veteran traveler.”
Marti is the Founder and CEO of International Connector, an experiential marketing and innovation agency whose signature work provides a direct line into a global network of thousands of young innovators across 190 countries.
With 20 years experience working on developing promotional campaigns, brands, products and platforms, Marti’s work is remarkably diverse and globally spread. Her roots are in Broadway and live entertainment, including producing shows such as Dame Edna and Burn The Floor, as well as large-scale events for Dreamworld, RMIT University, Sydney Film Festival, Gotham Awards, Do Something and many more.
Now based in San Francisco surrounded by technology companies, Marti has taken her experiential and immersive creativity to develop impact marketing programs such as Innovative Resilience in Puerto Rico, Your Big Year, Future of Women in Tech. Her signature work utilizes technology as an enabler for social change.
Marti is a Duke Education speaker and has presented keynotes, trainings, workshops and interactive studies at events globally including ITB Berlin, SYTA, Executive Women’s Conference, SOCAP, WTM, International Society of Travel Consultants, and National Trust for Historic Preservation.
Like most things with Marti, she has her own path and completed a unique MA at New York University in digital media with a thesis research focused on ‘Why young Americans don’t travel and the societal implications.’ She also holds a BFA in Directing from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts.
After venturing through close to 60 countries and living in New York, Buenos Aires, London, Prague, Sydney, and Brisbane, she now lives just north of San Francisco with her family.
