GOOGLE: FUTURE OF LEARNING
Challenge
Google’s School of Learners had gathered perspectives from leading educators and designers, but needed direct evidence from young people about how learning was changing and what future learning environments should enable.
Approach
IC created an immersive digital research environment in which youth from 30 countries explored, created, responded, and collaborated. Rather than relying only on questions about what young people wanted, the experience allowed Google to observe how participants navigated information, learned from peers, expressed ideas, and worked in real time.
Results
The research generated more than 4,000 qualitative signals and behavioral data points. Google used the findings to identify global learning patterns, challenge assumptions, and prototype new learning experiences grounded in how young people actually learned and interacted.
